Timber roof lanterns
Timber roof lanterns are made using FSC sourced timber / oak and have been selected from premium wood suppliers ensuring that the wood is flawless. The woods used are treated with a number of chemicals and then painted using micro porous sprays which allow the wood to breathe but not to rot. Timber brings with it a beautiful aesthetic quality that is hard to match with other materials such as UPVC and aluminium. Wood allows for beautiful architectural features that add style and beauty into the design. Because the wood is hardwood, it’s not only durable, it’s also strong, allowing for bigger glass panels which allows far more light in then traditional roof lanterns. Timber roof lanterns can be made in all sorts of shapes and sizes, you can choose roof pitch, rafter widths, glass features, and sidelight heights and even choose from a selection of opening windows. Customise your wood roof lantern to be circular, square, hexagonal, and triangular or an array of other shapes and configurations.
bespoke orangery design
At Ivy House Conservatories we are dedicated to ensure our clients’ needs are fully catered for during the process of creating and building a bespoke orangery.
We have a team of talented designers who are passionate about designing the finest orangery garden rooms, allowing you to relax in the knowledge that our team of professionals have the experience to take care of every detail.
To explain further an Orangery is a traditional adaptation to the home and is very different in both design and construction to that of a conservatory. An orangery is seen as the ultimate luxury home extension which comes with a glazed lantern as the centre feature of the structure with a flat roof surround featuring down lights in the ceiling and a stylish external orangery fascia. This creates a softer interior room ambiance and a style that is more sympathetic to many heritage properties.
